Something to look forward to: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 launches in just under two months, which means the PC system requirements have dropped – they're not too bad, compared to some recent titles. Developer Warhorse Studios has also revealed the game's console performance, including for the new PlayStation 5 Pro.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was one of our favorite games of 2018, earning a place on our Best PC Games (You Should be Playing) list. The highly anticipated sequel looks amazing in the trailers, but will you need a monster PC to play it?

Not really, according to the just-released PC requirements. Warhorse Studios has released details for six different graphics, FPS, and resolution combinations, from 1080p@30fps at low all the way up to 4K@30fps at Ultra.

The most commonly used settings, 1080p@60fps at medium, asks for an RTX 3060. It seems Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be quite CPU intensive. The processor requirements for most settings are a little more extreme, with the least powerful in the green section being an Intel Core i5-12600K.

Memory demands are also higher than what we're used to seeing. 16GB is now the absolute bare minimum, with 24GB recommended for 1080p/1440p medium settings and 32GB above that level. The latest Steam survey shows 16GB is the most common (46%) amount of RAM among participants, with 32GB being the second most-common (31%).

Unlike some other modern games, there's no mention of upscaling being a requirement: these are the native resolutions.

Warhorse Studios also gave details of Deliverance 2's console performance. It shows the differences between the Performance and Fidelity settings on the Xbox Series X and PS5. The PS5 Pro is also on the table as the only console able to hit 60FPS when upscaled to 4K.

KCD 2 was supposed to arrive before the end of 2024, but Warhorse delayed it until February 11. However, the studio has now brought that release date forward by one week to February 4, 2025.

February is going to be a busy time for gaming fans. In addition to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Obsidian's RPG Avowed is arriving in the same month (February 18), as is the new Yakuza game (February 21), and Steam's most wishlisted game, Monster Hunter Wilds (February 28).

KCD 2's specs are certainly an improvement over those of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Machine Games' first-person action-adventure requires a GPU capable of hardware-accelerated ray tracing, while almost all settings ask for 32GB of RAM. For path tracing, you'll also need DLSS 3 with frame gen enabled to hit 60fps.
