Aside from SDR gamma that’s a bit light, the FO32U2P has no real flaws. It serves well for gaming, movies and workday tasks with a gorgeous image, premium video processing, high-end build quality and elegant styling.

The Gigabyte FO32U2 Pro is an outstanding gaming monitor. At $1,299, it’s priced identically to the Asus PG32UCDM, which uses the same panel and is also outstanding. The benefit here is its DisplayPort 2.1 port, which allows for the possibility of DSC-free video, though it’s not something you’ll be able to take advantage of with most video cards until next generation when DisplayPort 2.1 is expected to be supported broadly. If you care about that, the FO32U2 Pro’s price is probably going to seem quite competitive.

The Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P is fantastic for PC gaming. Its near-infinite contrast ratio and perfect black uniformity are ideal for dark room gaming, as blacks look deep and inky. It also gets bright enough for highlights to pop, and colors look rich and vivid. It has a 240Hz refresh rate, so motion looks extremely crisp, and it feels very responsive. Although it supports all common VRR formats, it has some VRR flicker with changing frame rates in darker scenes.

This is our third try of a 4K OLED monitor and it's still awesome. Gigabyte's offering is the cheapest yet, but some slight calibration issues prevent it from being the obvious option.

For now, the screen is of course perfectly usable with current DP 1.4 cards, and you’ll probably have to wait until you can go DSC-free in your data signal. It’s ready to cover that in the future, although we will need Gigabyte to stay on top of future compatibility testing, bug fixes and firmware updates when new GPU’s arrive. It’s good to see them at the forefront of adopting this new connectivity in the monitor space though.
